Membership

You don’t need to own a boat to join the Royal Welsh Yacht Club: we are pleased to welcome all applicants.

Social membership gives admission to the clubhouse bars whilst all other categories entitle members to the use of all club facilities, as shown below:

- Use of RWYC Clubhouse, bar, and changing rooms, laundry facilities

- Use of club owned boats

• Three Celtic Sea Rowing Longboats,

• Two Yoles,

• A Whilly and a Caledonian Yawl & trailers & safety gear

• Rib for use as a safety boat

- Hire Club for private functions/meetings at members’ rate

Newcomers may row/sail free in two taster sessions. They will then be invited to join the Club if they wish to continue.

Membership categories are:

Full – includes member’s partner and children.

Senior – those who have achieved the age of 65 years. Includes member’s.partner

Social – those who do not have boats and who do not use the Club’s rowing/sailing boats. Includes member’s partner and children .

Overseas – those whose principal residence is outside the UK. Includes member’s partner and children.

Cadet – person who at the date of application and on 1st January of each subsequent year is under the age of 26.
